Bobby Powers and Party Time www.bobbypowersandpartytime.com

Bobby Powers & Robin Gordon have been working together for many years in the music business as songwriters, performers, and producers, and after becoming totally fed up and terrified with the direction the current administration is taking us towards, have created the Party Time project to espouse their political views in a musical format with these new songs like “Take Your Hands Out Of Our Pockets”, “Rules & Regulations”, and “Help Him Help Himself”. Bobby has had numerous hits as a singer, songwriter and producer working in New York with many various artists. Anne Marie Harpen harpensings.blogspot.com/

Anne Marie Harpen is a singer/songwriter from Cincinnati, Ohio who has been writing and playing music professionally since 1975.  She grew up in a small town in southern Ohio near Cincinnati called Mason, with 9 brothers and 2 sisters. The family was always very musical.  Anne was also very athletic and acted in plays and musicals throughout grade school and young adulthood.   She was only 10 when one of my older brothers returned home from the navy with a guitar. “We had a Silvertone guitar from Western Auto that several of us had to share.”  Anne loved the guitar and practiced playing and singing sometimes 4 hours at a time.  “People ask me if I have always been politically active. I guess you could say I have. I have a very strong mission of protecting the millions of unborn children who would otherwise not have someone to speak for them. I also vaguely recall having a heated conversation with one of the nuns in grade school about communism when I wouldn’t play a church ‘hymn’ made popular by Joan Baez. She insisted I was getting bad information and that was just “communism without love” I was hearing about. She said she was going to have to have a talk with my parents. I was young but I hadn’t been born the day before! This was my first real experience with the ever-present sector of progressivism that has always been knocking on the door of our republic. Now, they have kicked the door in, it seems.”

Anne’s son Kevin has always been a source of inspiration and strength in her music and her life. The current situation in our country has prompted Anne to start recording the ideas that have been bouncing around her head. “Our kids and grandkids are the ones who are going to suffer the most from the thievery being perpetrated by our out of control government.  My first conservative song “Walk The Streets in Anger” actually came to me in a dream. The chorus wrote itself. The verses came over the next 2 weeks. I wanted each verse to start with a quote from something recognizable to Americans like the star-spangled banner or the preamble to the declaration of independence.”

Anne performed at her first tea party in September of 2009 at the Voice of America in Mason, Ohio for over 18,000 people.   She now has over 10 songs she has written for our country and for our unborn children and just recorded her first CD “Walk The Streets In Anger”. Anne’s music is available for download everywhere music is found online including Amazon.com. Her CD is available at http://www.pastelsbywelz.net/912Cincinnati.html
